Muriel's Chocolate Pie

A chocolate custard pie made with sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and German baking chocolate, topped with coconut or slivered almonds and baked in a pie shell.

Directions

  1. Mix everything together in double boiler until chocolate is melted, pour into shell, sprinkle coconut on top and bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.
  1. In a double boiler, mix everything together (except the pie shell and the coconut topping) until the chocolate is melted.
  2. Pour the filling into the pie shell.
  3. Sprinkle the coconut (or slivered almonds) on top.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
  5. Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate any leftovers.
