Muriel's Chocolate Pie

A chocolate custard pie made with sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and German baking chocolate, topped with coconut or slivered almonds and baked in a pie shell.
Directions
- Mix everything together in double boiler until chocolate is melted, pour into shell, sprinkle coconut on top and bake at 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.
- In a double boiler, mix everything together (except the pie shell and the coconut topping) until the chocolate is melted.
- Pour the filling into the pie shell.
- Sprinkle the coconut (or slivered almonds) on top.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Serve warm or cold. Refrigerate any leftovers.
