Cranberry Pie

A crustless cranberry pie: fresh cranberries and chopped walnuts baked under a simple batter of eggs, sugar, flour, melted butter, and shortening in a greased pie plate.

Directions

  1. Grease well a 10 inch pie plate. Spread cranberries on bottom. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat eggs well. Add 1 cup sugar until thoroughly mixed. Add flour, melted butter and shortening to eggs and sugar mixture. Beat well. Pour over cranberries. Bake in a slow oven 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until crust is golden brown.

  5. Pour over the cranberries.
  6. Bake in a slow oven at 325 degrees for about 1 hour, or until the crust is golden brown.
