Christmas Pound Cake

A lemon-flavored pound cake studded with candied pineapple, cherries, and pecans, finished with a warm lemon glaze that is drizzled into holes poked in the cake and soaked in.
Directions
- Cream together sugar and margarine, add eggs. Add flour and flavorings and mix thoroughly, add fruits and cuts (that have been dredged in flour). Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- For glaze heat all ingredients until sugar melts, make holes in cake and drizzle on top and let soak in.
- Cream together the sugar and margarine, then add the eggs.
- Add the flour and flavorings (vanilla and lemon extract) and mix thoroughly.
- Add the candied pineapples, cherries, and chopped pecans that have been dredged in the 2 tablespoons flour.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- Make the glaze: heat all the glaze ingredients (margarine, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon rind) until the sugar melts.
- Make holes in the cake, drizzle the glaze on top, and let it soak in.
