A layered dessert bar with a baked nut-flecked crust, a cream cheese and Cool Whip layer, and a chocolate pudding topping.

Directions

  1. Crust: blend margarine flour and nuts altogether. Roll out and place in pan and up the sides of the pan. (9 x 13 x 2 pan)
  2. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Set aside to Cool
  3. Blend both packages of cheese and confectioners sugar together. Mix in cool whip. Then fill crust with mixture.
  4. Blend 2 packages instant chocolate pudding, 3 cups milk, beat well. Pour over cream cheese mixture and let it set for a few hours.
  5. Spread remaining cool whip on top of pudding mixture.
  6. When cool and set cut into bars and enjoy.
  1. Crust: Blend the melted margarine, flour, and chopped nuts together. Roll out and place in the pan, pressing it up the sides (use a 9 x 13 x 2 pan).

  3. Filling: Blend both packages of cream cheese (8 oz and 3 oz) with the confectioners sugar. Mix in the cool whip, then fill the cooled crust with the mixture.
  4. Blend the 2 packages of instant chocolate pudding mix with the 3 cups milk; beat well. Pour over the cream cheese mixture and let it set for a few hours.
  5. Spread the remaining cool whip on top of the pudding mixture.
  6. When cool and set, cut into bars.

A layered icebox dessert built on a baked flour-and-nut (or Heath bar) crust, topped with chocolate pudding and a sweetened cream cheese and whipped-topping layer.

Directions

  1. Mix flour, margarine and nuts or heath bits together to form crust. Pat into a 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Stays pale. Cool
  2. Mix pudding with milk and beat until thickens and spread over crust.
  3. Mix cream cheese, cool whip and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread on top of pudding. Set in refrigerator until needed.
