Buttermilk Pie

A Southern-style custard pie of butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and nutmeg blended with buttermilk and baked in a single unbaked 9-inch pastry shell.
Directions
- Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and nutmeg, beating at low speed until blended. Add buttermilk, beating well. Pour into pastry shell; bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes or until pie is set. Cool on wire rack. Yield: one 9-inch pie.
