Sukiyaki

A skillet dish of thinly sliced steak and vegetables — celery, onions, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, tomatoes, and spinach — simmered in soy sauce and beef bouillon.
Directions
- Heat oil in electric skillet set at medium heat. Add all vegetables except spinach and cook for a few minutes. Sprinkle tomatoes over top so hey stay crisp. Pour consomme or bouillon, soy sauce and sugar over vegetables and stir. Add the spinach and steak. Simmer for a while, serve hot from skillet.

- Add all the vegetables except the spinach (celery, sweet onions, green onions, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots) and cook for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle the tomatoes over the top so they stay crisp.
- Pour the consomme or bouillon, soy sauce, and sugar over the vegetables and stir.
- Add the spinach and the thinly sliced steak.
- Simmer for a while, then serve hot from the skillet.
